Hi, I’m Jennifer — a casting director, filmmaker, and consultant partnering end-to-end on story-driven work across film, television, and brands.

As the Founder and Creative Lead of JPA., I bring a values-first approach to every project — centering humanity in decisions from casting and creative development to emerging technology and social impact.

I was raised in a multicultural home that celebrated both leadership and the arts, which gave me an early understanding of how creative expression can build bridges. I trained as a ballet dancer for thirteen years, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Journalism from Marymount Manhattan College, and spent over a decade assisting top talent agents and veteran casting directors before launching my own company.

In 2014, I founded Jennifer Ajemian Casting to champion historically underestimated voices and challenge industry norms. Since then, my casting work has been recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Tribeca, SXSW, the New York Emmys, the Austin Film Festival, and others.

In 2026, I expanded my vision with the launch of JPA. — a storytelling company that crafts culture-forward opportunities that elevate the global majority and reimagines how talent, narrative, and innovation work together. We work with filmmakers, studios, brands, and industry leaders to tell stories that reflect truth, spark connection, and drive meaningful change.

My work and perspective have been featured in panels and podcasts hosted by Black Film Space, Glass Elevator, Film Fatales, GlobeScreen, The Purpose Made, and Represent Now — where I speak on authenticity, representation, and infinite mindsets.

Outside the entertainment world, I helped launch the global educational firm CATES, where I served as General Manager and remain a part-owner.

At my core, I’m an artist. Everything I create — whether on screen, in business, or in conversation — is rooted in integrity, emotional precision, and a belief that stories shape the culture.
